Dr Angelos Sourial

Dr Angelos Sourial is our principal dentist and brings 20 years of awarded expertise, meticulous patient care and (terrible) dental-themed dad jokes to our practice.

Dentistry is more than just “fixing teeth” to Dr Sourial. He turns up to work each day because he wants to improve people’s lives. Whether it’s helping somebody to eat comfortably again or giving them a smile they can’t wait to show off to the world, he has dedicated his life to helping people get the healthcare they need, ensuring their utmost comfort at every single step. His exceptional skills and attention to care were most recently recognised in 2023, when he was awarded a prestigious fellowship at the Pierre Fauchard Academy and elected as one of the Doctor-To-Doctor World’s Top 100.

While well-practised in comprehensive family dentistry, Dr Sourial’s pursuit of perfection led to a particular interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry. Beginning in 2010, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry (Implants) at the University of Melbourne, he has since been appointed Federal President of the Australasian Implant Osseointegration Society — the forefront of education and research for implant dentistry in the country.

His dedication to what he does doesn’t end at Adawn either. In addition to his own ongoing education and research projects, he’s committed to improving the industry as a whole, teaching, training and mentoring others through Spear Education Dental Study Club’s Victoria branch. He has also been a long-term supporter of both the The Moira Kelly Creating Hope Foundation and Coptic Orphans, two charities that sit particularly close to his heart.

Though clearly someone who lives and breathes his love of dentistry, there are a few special things outside of it that earn an equal share of time and dedication. An immensely proud and devoted dad to Sophia and Archie, a loving (and lucky) husband to Adawn’s own Marianne, and a diehard devotee to the Canberra Raiders, his enormous heart shines through in everything he does.
