Tooth Fillings

Tooth fillings are aimed to restore and rehabilitate a chipped tooth or a tooth with a cavity, as well as prevent further tooth decay. A painless procedure, our dentists remove the decay from the tooth and fill the cavity with a filling material which is usually composite or porcelain and matched to your tooth shade. Completed in one visit, tooth fillings restore the health and aesthetics of your teeth.

A beautiful space curated for comfort

Going to the dentist doesn’t have to feel like going to the dentist. Our carefully curated studio provides the highest quality and comfort at every step of your Adawn experience. From calming interiors to Netflix access during treatment, we’ve made every effort to make your time with us as stress free as possible – and hopefully one you’ll even enjoy.

A patient-driven approach to treatment

We know teeth. You know you. So, we don’t touch the tools until we chat with you first. What you’ll end up with is a transparent, future-focused treatment plan that works for you, meets your definition of a good smile and of course, stays within your budget.

A team of experts who really care

There are a million places you’d rather be than a dental appointment. We know. It can feel stressful. You might feel anxious. Some places just see you as a set of teeth, but not Adawn. We understand how you feel and will work with you through every step to alleviate your concerns — without any judgment.

A more considered cosmetic dental experience

Good cosmetic dentistry goes beyond a great smile. It gives you confidence, boosts self-esteem and helps you be your best self. At Adawn, we work closely with you to make sure your results match your unique needs. We’ll never use gimmicks or try to upsell you – we’re dedicated to your transformation, inside and out.

The highest quality at every point

From the service at reception to the treatment you receive, whether it’s a check-up or ongoing oral care, we believe you deserve the best. We’ve dedicated more than 50 years to practising our craft and going the extra step to ensure you receive the best dental experience from start to finish.

Do you provide a clean at your first visit?

Our first visit for new patients is so comprehensive, we usually do not include a clean. We understand many new patients would like a clean in the first visit, however it is difficult to identify what kind of clean you will require without a gum assessment first. A clean is a diagnosed treatment and they type of clean you may require may need a longer appointment, a series of visits or a visit to our expert Oral Health Therapist.

There are two types of clean- a scale and clean is for patients who do not have periodontal disease or a ‘deep clean’ (called scaling and root planning) is required when there is Periodontitis. Sometimes if your gums are pristine and there is time in the first visit, we can accommodate a clean for you.

The Suite

We’ve carefully curated our space to make the time you spend at Adawn as enjoyable, calming and comfortable as possible.

Safety First

A safer way to care for you

Above all else, safety is our priority.

While some industries are adjusting to a New Normal of safety measures, they’ve always been normal for us. After every patient, each of our clinical rooms is sanitised and our equipment sterilised. Our team also wears enhanced PPE (gloves, masks and protective eyewear), undergoes daily health checks and laundry service, and our COVID Safe plan is always up to date in line with Victorian Department of Health requirements.

Cutting edge technology

The technology available can completely change the patient experience and so we invest in the best. The state of the art equipment we have in house means we can craft finer restorations, detect problems earlier, reduce treatment time and even create custom appliances when we need to.

Designed for comfort

Going to the dentist can be uncomfortable and intimidating. It may even make you anxious. At Adawn, you are always in control of your experience. We have several options available to help our patients feel as comfortable as possible from Netflix and noise cancelling headphones, head rests and blankets, right through to sedation or general anaesthetic. We’re not comfortable unless you are.

Our team of experts really care

“I believe in a comprehensive approach to dental care. This begins by taking the time to talk to patients about their goals for their oral health, their smile, and their desired treatment. It is not a cookie cutter approach, but very individualised. Once I spend the time to get to know my patients, I then take the time to perform the highest quality dentistry for each of them.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What happens after I book in for a Comprehensive Examination?

You will need to fill out our New Patient Form. We can either email you the document to fill out and bring in or if you prefer, you can arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment to fill it out.

When ready, you will be escorted to our treatment discussion area where one of our Dentists and a Dental Assistant will sit with you one-on-one to discuss your concerns, dental and medical history, and treatment goals. After getting to know you on a personal level and collecting all the relevant information, you will be escorted to the treatment area where the examination will be completed.

What happens if I need treatment?

After your consultation and exam, we will discuss whether we recommend treatment. Our Dentists will walk through your intraoral photos to explain any findings, suggestions, and determine your treatment goals. If you have any questions, we are more than happy to discuss them with you. Once you have the information that you need, our receptionist will assist you in scheduling any appointments for necessary treatment. We will follow this up with a written treatment plan outlining costs and finance options should you require them.

What happens at my treatment visit?

When you return for your treatment visit, we do all that we can to make your experience a comfortable one. We will review your treatment plan with you and explain everything that we will do before we begin.

Here are just a few ways we will make you comfortable during your treatment:
• Place a soft cushion under your neck
• Offer you a blanket if you would like one
• Provide noise cancelling, blue tooth headphones that can sync with your music
• Turn on the TV on the ceiling to any channel you prefer
• Give you the choice to watch any Netflix show that you like.
